I am having difficulty tolerating the pressure, what can I do?
By utilizing the ramp feature on your CPAP/BIPAP machine, you can gradually adjust to the pressure. Ramp Time allows the pressure to increase from a low start pressure to the prescribed treatment pressure.
I am having trouble getting used to wearing the CPAP.
Try wearing the mask while awake, such as while watching TV or reading before bed, to become accustomed to it.
My mask is leaking/I am having trouble getting a good seal.
Use the "Mask Fit" feature in your CPAP machine’s menu to check for air leaks, or refer to the Mask Fit video in the myAir app.
I am getting droplets of water on my nose, in the mask, and air tubing.
This may be due to a high humidity level. Try decreasing the humidity setting or increasing the tube temperature.
My CPAP is making my nose or mouth feel dry.
Ensure a proper mask seal to prevent air leaks. If using a nasal mask, consider a chinstrap. Increasing humidity may also help.
