What started with just a few wheelchairs has grown into a large team comprised of respiratory therapists, insurance billing experts, knowledgeable and friendly customer service representatives, and delivery drivers dedicated to making sure you have the equipment you need to live comfortably and maintain your independence in your home. A History of Service
Nunn's Home Medical Equipment's humble beginnings can be traced back to Martin J. Nunn simply wanting to help a friend. Martin's friend needed a wheelchair to make it to the funeral for a loved one, but none was available in town. Martin ordered a wheelchair for his friend, but it didn't arrive in time due to World War II, so his friend had to be carried to the funeral. Some time later, after many delays, Martin received an order of 12 new wheelchairs. Because he didn't need all 12 wheelchairs, Martin decided to rent them out to the community. This sparked his idea to rent out other types of medical equipment. From then on, Nunn's Home Medical Equipment has been in the business of serving the community's medical equipment needs. Today, we have locations in Rome and Syracuse, New York staffed by an expert team that boasts decades of collective experience in the home healthcare industry.
